In the plastic injection molding process, temperatures that are too high or too low can have adverse effects on the molded injection products, severely affecting the discard rate of the molded injection products. Therefore, temperature control during the injection molding process is very important.
The injection production process requires the use of plastic raw materials, ink powder, gate materials, molds, injection molding machines, peripheral equipment, fixture devices, sprayers, various auxiliary materials, and packaging materials, which brings a significant workload and certain difficulties to the management of injection molding factories. Compared to other industries or sectors, the requirements for managers at all levels in injection molding factories are higher. If the injection molding temperature is too high, it may reduce the viscosity of the oil and increase leakage, which will significantly decrease the volumetric efficiency of the pump and the overall efficiency of the system. When the viscosity decreases, the oil film on working components such as valve columns becomes thinner or is cut off. At this time, friction resistance also increases, leading to greater wear.
What are the negative effects of high temperature on injection molding?
If the injection molding temperature is too high, the working quality of the injection components will deteriorate, and the air dissolved in the oil will be expelled, causing cavitation, which then reduces the working performance of the hydraulic system.
In hydraulic components, parts with different thermal expansion coefficients must shrink with the apprentice, which can cause the main machine to block, leading to operational failures and severely affecting the transmission accuracy of the hydraulic system, resulting in a decline in the working quality of the injection molded parts.
